As I have heard about the passing of our beloved Prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley, I would like to express my love and gratitude for him. He has touched my life in many ways. He was such a wonderful man and lived a very influencial life. Im so greatful for his focus on building temples. We are so blessed to have so many temples around us. I always looked forward to General Conference to hear him speak to us. Im grateful for the Church website, that we can just go and print off his talks and remember his messages exactly the way they were said. Im also greatful for the gospel in my life and for the many wonderful blessings I have. I dont know how I got so lucky. I have the best husband I could've asked for and a loving family who are strong in the gospel. Once again, Im grateful for our beloved Prophet, President Hinckley! He will greatly be missed. But I am so excited for him and his new calling!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was looking through one of our pictures alblums today and saw these pictures of Kade and I when we were younger (about the same age) and thought they were hilarious!!!! I had the chicken pox so bad and he had a rash of some sort. Its the perfect picture to show how happy we were even under the conditions!!!! Kids really are die-hards!! I know we were raised very similar to each other. And we were both out in the dirt all day-because , yes I was a tomboy through and through!!! One of Kade's nicknames is "seek and destroy" and has been for a very long time. Poor kid. Hes just such a big boy that sometimes breaking things comes natural for him. But you just can't help but loving him!! Hes so adorable!!!!

Well the 11th was my birthday!!! Wahoooo!! And Kade took me up to Sundance. We stayed the night in a cool little cabin. And we went snowboarding all day Saturday. It was a beautiful day!!!! We had fast passes so we got to go to the front of the line every time!! It was great. So on our way up there we saw this moose just off the side of the road munching on some trees. It was pretty neat to see.
I am nice and warm, wrapped up in my blanky!! He he. We had an awesome view out our windows. And the cool thing was that the windows were right by our bed so I just got up in the morning, pulled the blinds, got back in bed, and watched the sun come up!
No Im really not that stupid. I would never stick my tounge on an icicle!!!!

This Christmas was my most favorite Christmas ever!! I was so excited because I made my dad a video of his pictures from when he served in Vietnam. He absolutely loved it! It was so hard to not talk about the video during December because that's all I was focusing my time on, but somehow I did it. My mom knew about it because she had to help me get the time line right. But she got a surprise too!! For her, I took her old reel (the one in the picture taped to the CD) that my dad had given her of him talking from Vietnam, and had it transferred onto a CD so she could hear what it said. She has only heard it once in her lifetime and that is when he sent it to her, because they did not have the machine to play it-her aunt did. So she had to take the reel up to her Aunt's house and have it played. Its been 40 years since she has heard what it says. It was so neat to hear my dads voice. He sounded the same only younger. You could hear the helicopters flying over in the recording. Pretty crazy!
Ive got great parents and I'm so thankful for their dedication to our country. We are all very patriotic and I know its because of his experiences.
