Gus & Shilo!

These two are pretty much in love with each other!  They are the best of buddies!  They were so excited to see each other again.  They wrestled and played forEVER.  Gus is my sister-in-laws dog, which they got before we got Shilo.....they kind of inspired us to get Shilo:) Which I'm very glad we got her!  But its fun to watch them play together.
When I was in California, I was in a little store and they had these cute hankerchiefs, so I had to buy Gus and Shilo each one.  haha!  I'm crazy!  When Dallas(my nephew) brought Gus down to play with Shilo, we were sitting there watching them wresttle and enjoy seeing each other, and he started singing the song from Lion King, "Can you feel the love tonight!" haha!  Funny funny Dallas!

Bike Ride

I have really enjoyed being home.  I haven't had a chance yet to go up Fairview canyon, because of the fires and all the family stuff going on, so yesterday, I finally went.  I have really been wanting to break out my bike and ride it.  I have been wanting to ride from the highway down to our Cook family cabin for a while now, so I called my little buddy Cassidy and she happended to be free for the day and decided she wanted to join in!  We had a lot of fun!  I took Shilo and let her run along side our bikes when no cars were coming and she is FAST FAST FAST!  She kept right up with the bikes when we were going down big hills!  And she loves to run....and chase pot guts.....and chase deer!  She had a pretty darn good day!
There are a lot of little streams along the way to the cabin, so we stopped at most of them to get Shilo a drink and let her cool off.

I love this place! I have so many memories there, as do all of my cousins.  Its such a wonderful place to be!
Yes, Shilo is in this picture.  We rode to the spring by the lake to fill up my water bottle with yummy fresh mountain water!  Shilo just laid down at the bottom of the spring to cool off. haha!

Me and my buddy! :)  LOVE her!

Cass, with Miller's Flat reservoir in the background.
We stopped again to let her drink and cool off, and she just laid in the water while she drank. Crazy dog.

We saw a lot of deer along the way.  They didn't seem to be to worried about us (that is, if Shilo was on her leash!).  We happend to see this cute little fawn with big white spots!  I love the spots and how little it is.  SO CUTE!  They just stood there and let me get the pictures that I wanted and slowly walked away.

Cass and Shilo by Miller's Flat.
Shilo was going nuts around this area, because I think she was smelling all the pot guts, and rodents in the grass.  She was running and sniffing and jumping through all the tall grass.

I love how green the mountain is right now.  I feel like I miss a lot of that part during the summer, so I forget how green it gets.  I always just see the spring, fall and winter when there is pretty much no green at all.  It is BEAUTIFUL right now!

This was my view out my side mirror the whole way.  Shilo loves to hang out the back window and feel the breeze and see the scenery.
The sky was also really cool.  It was a perfect day, the wheather cooperated and was not too hot at all.  And the clouds would come and go.  I love being home. I'm surprised at how much it has rained since I've been home.  Truly a blessing for our area!!!!
I am excited to see Kade in a couple more weeks.  This stay turned into a longer stay than what I thought, and I had even decided that I would just stay here for good until he gets home, which we were both a little hesitant about, but that would have been 8 weeks apart, and I've now concluded that I can't be without him for that long!   So.....I will be flying back to Texas on the 31st of July!  We are so excited to see each other.  It will have been almost a month (excluding the day he was here) that we have been apart, the longest time apart yet!  I can't wait to give him a big smoooooch! :)  And I'm also excited to see another new place!  I love the new adventure in each summer.

My Trip Home!

Well, its been a crazy couple of weeks! I guess I'll just tell about it, along with each picture so that its kinda broken up a bit.  Kade and I were in California for the summer for work with Vivint.  And our first area went really well for us, we were very happy with it.  We then moved to a different area, which we were really excited about because it looked great for sales. It ended up not being very good, so the company decided to move us!......while I was gone home on my visit! :( I felt really bad that Kade had to pack up the whole apartment by himself and drive back to Utah:(  And I had bought a round trip ticket......but I'm not going back to Cali! LOL So things have been very random for us!  But on my trip home, I have been able to be with my family, enjoy the 4th of July holiday, and just have fun being home! Pictured above is my cute little niece Brynlee and I at the parade in Moroni!

I really love the 4th of July celebration in Moroni.  Our little town really knows how to celebrate! And everyone comes together and enjoys each other! I LOVE IT!  My uncles have an  airplane and they do a ping pong ball drop over the parade before it starts so all the kids can catch the ping pong balls.  They have a money value on them and the kids can go "collect" when the parade is over :)
Me and my beautiful sister at the parade! :)
I love seeing the horses in the parade!  They make my day! And it always brings back wonderful memories of when I used to do the same thing! Love those rodeo queens! Such a fun parade!
My cute little nephew Cooper has been so much fun to hold and love! He is the sweetest little guy ever!  So snuggly! MMMM!  And his daddy sure knows how to make him light up!
I've totally missed my dog!  She's been so fun to have back!  However I was a little taken back at first when I went to get her.  She didn't even recognize me! She just looked past me as if I wasn't even there! I was sad! But when I put her in the truck and took her home, it all came back to her!  She smelled around and looked around FOREVER!  Then.....she just started rolling around on the grass like crazy, as if to say, "YAY! I'm HOME!!!" It was hilarious!  And pictured above, she didn't know what to think of this little person swinging back and forth.  She just kept looking at Cooper and smelling him! haha!
It was fun to see my dad's yearling!  I love him! He's so pretty! And he's really smart.  My dad takes him on runs all the time. He just ties him up to his truck and goes down the road! He loves it.  And he loves to get in and out of the trailer.  Hopefully this is a sign that he will be easy to break! CAN'T WAIT to break him with my dad!
Oh, and what a beautiful.........fat.......sight this is!  I love his summer color and  hate his summer belly! haha!  But what can I expect when he sits in the pasture for a few months! :)
I got on smoke and he remembered everything like I had never left! I love when that happens.  And I love this picture so much because it has my two favorite friends in it with me......my horse and my dog!
This was one of the funnest days I've ever had! It was a blast!  Cass and I went down to the farm to ride and hang out and do fun farm stuff like brush the horses and watch Shilo dig holes all over! haha  The day was beautiful.  It was overcast and there was just a slight breeze. We were just having a great time and all of a sudden the clouds started to get darker and darker.  I told Cass, "I think I better get the saddle off this horse,  it looks like its hoing to start raining"  I pulled the saddle off the horse real quick and it started to rain.  The horses started going crazy cause the wind picked up really heavy and then, the rain turned into A LOT of rain! It was like the storms you see in the south when it just dumps and you can't see through the rain. It was so beautiful!  We sat under the barn for a little while and watched the storm with Shilo.  Then my dad called and said that we had better get out of there or we may be stuck in the mud! Yikes, I didn't think about that, so we left, and did not get stuck, but we did get WET! VERY WET! haha! And I had left my windows down in my truck so our butts were also...VERY WET! :)  But such a fun day!

My family went camping up Nebo, which was also a lot of fun.  I have been taking Shilo everywhere with me, and she loves to be at camp, I think its her favorite place so far.  My nephew Stetson LOVEs Shilo and lays all over her in the dirt! And he follows her around and holds her tail.  She started to play this game with him that made us all laugh so hard, its like she was playing keep away.  She would run really fast towards him and then just juke him and go the other way! It was so funny! Almost like she was teasing him! hehe
I got to see Kade for one day while he was home, on Sunday.  He drove all day Saturday and stayed for the day on Sunday, and then he left for Texas on Monday morning.  The plan is for me to fly down there in a couple more weeks and finish out the summer with him.  We got to hang out with my family on the mountain at the trailers, and with Kade's family at their house and play games.  It was good to be with everyone again!  And Shilo totally remembered Kade! She just started wagging her tail and going crazy! :) She loves him.

After Kade left, I have been unpacking and getting the house set back up, since by the time I get to Texas, we will only have abour 4 weeks left of the summer, so I don't think I will take hardly anything with me.  My brother and I went for a run the other night and when we got back we just sat on the lawn and chatted for a while and these beautiful rainbows decided to come out and adorn the sky!  They lasted such a long time and there were a few of them that came and went. They were so bright and beautiful.
And last but not least, we went to the much anticipated Ute Stampede rodeo! I'm a little crazy about this rodeo. I remember riding in the grand entry and looking up at my family and waving as I ran in. So much fun! And it's always nice to be with the family, as you are all sitting there enjoying the night together.  It makes me really appreciate the summers in Utah.
