Christmas was amazing this year! Seriously the best one I've had yet. It just felt like Christmas. I had all of my shopping done (for the most part) by the begining of December and I told myself that I was not going to stress and that I would just enjoy the holiday. And I did just that. I enjoyed all of my family so much! Our family pitched in and did the 12 days of Christmas for someone and it was so fun. It was fun to see the joy that comes to someone by giving them gifts when their circumstances are'nt the best. And its fun being sneaky, trying not to get caught at the door! And I felt like Christ was more of a focus this year for Kade and I. It was the best Christmas ever.

Another reason why it was so good, was because I got this beautiful puppy! Kade gave her to me on Christmas Eve, so I named her Shilo Eve. She came with a big red bow around her neck. She is definately loved in our home! She goes everywhere with me and sleeps on my lap! Its been so fun having her! I don't even mind cleaning up after her! :) She is a sweetheart! I love watching her and Kade wrestle! And of course she has some elk antlers to play with so she can start finding sheds! (Kade's ideas of course)
We like to take her out so she can run around and play. She is one spooiled puppy thats for sure! She has been running with us, fishing, and even horse riding!

She likes to sleep! Especially after she plays with her friend Gus! He wears her right out!

What a cute puppy! I'm so glad I have her! :)

Just Hanging Out!

Well, we've been having a blast these days! Just hanging out with each other. Our favorite times together are definately on the mountain! We have been riding horses a lot and Fishing and spending time with the family. We are loving every minute of it! We took a little 4 wheeling adventure up the mountain and went fishing, (picture above) I think Kade looks like Gollum off the Lord of the Rings, with this fish in his hand! Just the funny face he is pulling I guess! Kinda made me chuckle! :)
We got to help get some wood for the fam. That was fun. I like watching the tree fall and make the big crash! Tiiimmbeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr!

We have taken the horses on the mountain a lot, and that has been my favorite. I feel like I can't get enough of the horses, thats all I want to do anymore is ride! I've always loved it but for some reason its intensified lately! :) We've helped a few people pack out their elk from the hunts and thats been fun too.

The colors were beautiful this year! So bright!

There's always something crazy happening at the Church home :) We were all hangin out and Tyson decided he needed to dress us in something different.................Well, Kade ended up with a button up shirt that is too small for him with some running pants, and I ended up with Tysons sweats........around my whole body! Very fashionable and attractive I'd say! One of my better outfits! And for sure Kade's best! Thanks Tyson for the new and definately improved make over!

Our last Memories on The Big Island!

I told Kade that I wanted to go hang out at the pool with him before we left and "float". I've been wanting to do this since we were in Hilo, only I wanted to float on the ocean in this one little spot that was really cool, but we never got around to doing it. So we went to the pool the other day and it ended up being such a great time! I pushed Kade around like he was a King! All he was missing was grapes to eat and fig leave fans! It was a lot of fun! Glad we went!

And he pushed me!!!! :) And tried to flip me over.......and over.....and over! Of course! :) LOVE THIS BOY SO SO MUCH! He makes my life such a better place!

This was at a BBQ the other day that we had with some of the guys. We have all been hanging out a bit more because the wives have gone home. It was a nice little BBQ at the pool :) over looking the ocean.

Us at the bbqGordon was so nice to take us bowling. We all had so much fun...........until the live mexican band showed up! They were really loud! But it was still fun! My first game was horrible, and then my second game was better than bad, so I guess it was good. And Jordan and Isaac had fun (pictured above)

Almost Time to Leave......

I have tried about 5 different blog posts over the past month or so and for some reason, my "publish post" button wont work! So I don't know what the dealio is! (hopefully I can get this to post!)

Anyways, its almost time for Kade and I to leave this beautiful place, Hawaii! I have so many mixed feelings! I have seriously loved our stay here and would never trade it for anything! Each day has its different emotions, different ups and downs. Some days I'm so ready to come home(which has been felt more so the past 2 to 3 weeks), and other days I have anxiety about leaving too! I have gotten really used to the lifestyle of the weather, the ocean, the beach, the yummy tropical fruit, just everything. Its going to be different to go back to something that was so normal, but now so different too! I can count the time that I wore jeans out here! And I only brought one pair! haha! I miss my family, and my horses and our house and the "rugged mountains" and my friends, we are definately excited to come home! I'm just going to try and let it all soak in for the next 2 weeks and treasure every moment that we have left!

I think there have been a lot of highlights, while we have been here. Of course, sight seeing has been awesome and something we have thoroughly enjoyed! It was so great to have my mom and dad come and share this experience with us, that was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm grateful for that! We have loved going to the beach everyday and body boarding together, and Kade has loved laughing at me and watching me get tumbled by my first wave!! We've had alot of "firsts" together this summer, since its been a whole new experience for the both of us! And its been awesome! We have loved being able to attend the Kona tmeple! Its one of our favorite temples now! And I think one of our biggest highlights of the whole summer was meeting Elder Uchtdorf! He came to our ward one Sunday and we got to hear him speak! The power of that man is unreal! He is amazing. It was awesome to know that when we looked at him, we were seeing him, in person, and not on a screen and he was seeing us back! We were fortunate to get to meet him and shake is hand and talk with him for a moment. An incredible experience that we will never forget! And in one week from today, Kade's mom and dad are flying in to meet us on the island of Kauai! We are going to island hop before we go home and what an awesome experience that will be for us too!

We can't wait to see everyone and be with our families again. We are grateful to have had this opportunity! We feel so blessed!

Random Happenings:)

This picture is for my mom:) She wanted me to post this because I got this new dress while I was with her on Oahu, and she never got to see me in it:) So here you go mom:) This was on Sunday after church.

We got to eat at Bubba Gump shrimp last night with the company, and it was so great! And I had to grab a picture of the captain that sits outside the resaurant :) He's a pretty handsome guy!

I got to wear Forest Gumps running shoes for this pic!! Lucky me!!! They fit perfectly! They were actually metal and bolted to the ground for picture purposes:)

This was our dining experience!! Right on the ocean! What a view and what a great experience!! And the food was delicious! Had some yummy Mahi Mahi!

So Kade came home the other day just ramdomly chewing this huge piece of bubble gum! He started blowing a huge bubble and I couldn't resist!! He wasnt very happy with me!

Horse Riding in Hawaii!

I feel so lucky to get to ride horses in Hawaii! It reminds me of home and its such a nice feeling!! I miss my horses so much and this helps feed that need LOL :) So how this all started was, I met this awesome friend (Marlo) through one of the guys in our office. He knocked on her door and she bought a security system from him. Kade came to pick him up for the night, because they were finished working, and Marlo invited Kade into her home to have a bite to eat with the other guy. They got talking and Kade noticed her horse outside and asked about it. He told her that I LOVE horses and grew up with them, and she told him to have me call her! So I called her and we are now training her new horse together. She was into horses for a long time and then got out of it for a while and now is back into it. Marlo knows a lot of people at the equiestrian center, which is kinda by her house, and so she took me there and introduced me to a bunch of her friends. Her friends invited us to come ride their horses the next day. Kade and I went over there the next day and I had a blast!!! It was seriously so much fun for me! The owner of the horse's name is Jeffery, and he told me that I could have the horse for the summer, if I would come and ride him! He even told me to change its name if I wanted to!!! haha! Such a cool experience! So it looks like I get to ride horses all summer!!! :) So HAPPY!!!!

At the equestrian center they spray their horses down after riding them, once they've cooled down. The weather is always nice here so they can do that! I wish that we had nice enough weather all year round so that we could do that to! I seriously love this horse though! He is so fun to ride and so fun to be around!

Random Hawaii

So this is just a ramdom post because I'm suck a slacker on my blog! So I'll just give a brief explanation of the pics.
We went to the temple the other day in Kona and we were just getting in our car to leave and Kade said, "Come here I have something to show you". He had spotted some horses in the distance. Two of my most favorite things in the whole world are horses and the temple!!!!!!

I thought this horse needed a Hawaiian flower since he lives in Hawaii! haha!

This was my anniversary Lei that Kade gave me!! So pretty!!!

The sunsets and sunrises are amazing here....absolutely amazing!!

We hung out on the beach for our anniversary, jus the two of us! It was so nice!

I think this is the coolest swimming spot!

Yeah, the wave ate me!!!! I had no idea it was going to spray me!!!! haha! It was fun and felt good!

So I found this picture looking through all my files, I had forgotton about it. It was a few years ago when I was in the Young Womens Presidency, and we had a Young Women's in excellence night and the husbands served all of us and the Young Women. It's really the only picture that I have of us all dressed up fancy other than our wedding day..........so I thought I would put it on here:)

I can't believe 6 years has gone by! So crazy! Where does time go, and at the same time, 6 years really isn't that long! I'm so lucky to have such a great man! He is the best! I don't know how I got so lucky! Each year that goes by I say to Kade, "Wow, that was an amazing year! How could life get any better!!??" And the crazy thing is, each year together gets better and better! We are so blessed! We love serving the lord and growing close together through him!

Rainbow Falls and the Volcano!

Ok, this is a long post! But I couldnt decide which pictures to put on here, so I ended up putting most of them! haha! Oh well. The picture above is on our hike up to the waterfalls, there was some huge trees, (massive) and there was a spot that we could hide in the trunk.....so we did:)

This was on our way to the Lava Tubes. Its so fun to hike through the jungle, something I'm not quite used to!

Another view of the volcano in the distance. There is a trail that you can see down at the bottom, that people hike down into to get a closer look.

This is a fairly close up pic of the Volcano, and you can see the lava that is dried on the surface, which is from clear back in 1983. The volcano is still active but does not produce a lot of action. You will see steam pockets coming out of the ground just ramdomly everywhere around the volcano, even on the drive there.

Volcano in the distance. Its definately a colder climate at the level of the volcano. Down into the 60's. The Big Island goes from sea level to 13000 feet high! Sometimes, when we get really heavy rain storms, there will be some snow on the tips of the volcano.

This was some steam that comes up out of the ground. If you reach your hand over and put it in the steam, it would sometimes burn you. Pretty crazy.

Well, we have finally arrived to our new temporary home, HAWAII!!!!!! I've never been here so this is a real treat for me! It is so beautiful! We arrived in Oahu on the 19th and were there until the 22nd and then we headed over to the Big Island were we will be staying. We were able to see the beach, the temple, Pearl Harbor, and some other things while in Oahu, so scroll down and I'll explain the pics:)
This was at Pearl Harbor, there was a cute little girl who came prepared to honor the fallen soldiers with some beautiful fresh flowers. I had to take a picture because it was such a beautiful sight!

This was a submarine that was made a year after Pearl Harbor, she was know for her mass destruction.

This pic was at the Polynesian Culteral Center. I ended up with this beautiful flower headband, because we happen to be walking by this shop around closing time, they were getting rid of their things from that day, so she just gave me the headband! The lady told me that when the floweres die, the grass headband will stay good for a really long time, like years, and that I would just gather new flowers and put them in the headband again:)

My mom and dad stood here back in 1968 when my dad was on his R n R from Vietnam. He got to go to Hawaii, for one week and meet my mom there after 6 months of being in Vietnam. Then he had to go back to Vietnam for another 6 months. They are coming out to visit Kade and I and we are going to go to the temple again, only this time, they are excited because they won't have to part again, they will get to relax and enjoy! It will be so awesome!

House: Befores and Afters

OK, so this post is way overdue!........But our computer has been giving us fits and every attempt I made at this post was unsucessful! So finally here it is! This is our house, we made lots of changes to it before we moved in. And there's still lots that we want to do with the house, but all in due time:)

We did so much work in such a short amount of time (just over 30 days) that it was kinda stressful but its so worth it now! We love it! This top pic is obviously the before. We replaced flooring, textured, painted, stained, painted cupboards, knocked out a wall, replaced lights.......and did I say paint................Oh, did I mention paint? hehe! It seemed as if the painting would never end!

Happy Birthday Kade!

Today it was Kades birthday! And we had a great day! We just hung out all day and did things that Kade wanted to do. I made him one of his favorite breakfasts, poached eggs. I also made him an oatmeal cake, again, his favorite, and then we went fishing. I even caught a fish. We were catching them right and left! It was a fun day! Happy Happy Birthday Kade! I love you!
It was such a nice day today, but still really cold. But at least the sun was shining!

We caught about 8 fish today, in about an hour and a half! It was fun!

I think the fish are ready for spring so they have lots of yummy bugs to eat!

Hawaii!!!!!

So as you all know, Kade now works for APX which is the new VIVINT and we move during the summer months so he can work. Last year we went to Arkansas, and this year we found out that we get to go to Hawaii!!!! I'm am so stoked! I can't believe that I get to live in Hawaii for 4 months! So our office had a party to celebrate going to Hawaii, and this is what took place! :) It was so much fun to watch everyone do the limbo! Mel and Hilary definately stole the show! Those girls can bend! Lots of yummy food and lots of fun! Yipee!!!! And I won the grand prize which was a mens blue Hawaiian shirt! Yeah! Kade actually had cocconuts that he wore over his shirt but they ended up coming off during the night:)

Updates with the Church's

I think its been over a month since I've posted, but life has been so crazy for us! We have been moving into a house but the house needed some major updates before we could move in so we were working on the updates for quite a while, over a month straight! I will definately have to post some before and after pics! But the pic above is the living room/dining area, and of course still not finished:) And the white stuff that you can see stuck to the door....ya that is snow! This is in the church parking lot, they had to start piling the snow up in the middle because there was no where else to put it!

And this was one of the many snow piles around town that are gigantic! Yes there is a tree behind the snow pile!

This was a guys truck and trailer that had been burried with the snow! Crazy!

This is our new house! And thats our Christmas tree outside. Kade thougt he would make it look like it was growing out of the ground to get out of taking it to the dump:)

We had a wonderful Christmas as always, and we got a little crazy! My mom gave all the girls these cute scarves and one thing led to another............and we decided that we looked like some of the ten virgins! :) And then we decided to throw my dad in there to spice things up a bit.....Hmmm:) LOL

We had to get a pic by the ten virgin pics just to show how real we looked!

And there is Kade plowing snow, plowing snow, and plowing snow! Literally he did plow snow all day that day! It just kept coming!

We had been working on the house so much and thought there was no way that we would be in by Christmas but a miracle happend and we decorated our tree Christmas EVE! And that was our first night in our new home! I have to thank everyone who helped us! There is no way we could have done it without our families and friends! We feel so loved by eveyone! THANKYOU! We LOVE you!

Thanksgiving Weekend!

Kade and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, fun filled with lots of family involved! I hope all of you did as well! We went and cut ourselves a cute, short, fat Christmas tree! I love it! It has so much personality! And I can't wait to decorate it! What a great time of year, I love Christmas and all the holidays! And I love being with family!

Church News:)

So here's the latest news with the Church's. Its been a while since I've posted, and a lot of these pictures are even from a few weeks ago:) but, life gets busy as we all know:) So the above pic is of Kade and I on our way home from Arkansas, when we went up over the mountain, to go down into Fairview! It was definately a beautiful view that I will never take for granted! We love Love LOVE our mountains!!!!! The fall colors were a wonderful welcome home, thats for sure! And we decided we'd better sport the good ol Arkansas Razorbacks shirts!
Our family happen to have our sheduled turn at the Cook family cabin so we were able to go and stay a week up there, and that was so much fun! We went for a fun hike to see the Elk up on the side hill:) As we were walking back to the truck from our hike, I told Kade to pose for the camera......so this is what I got.

The girls and I were able to go to the gem fair, which is always a hit! The gem fair comes 3 times a year so we all try to get together and go:) Lots of fun jewelry and fun times with the gals!

So my mom told us to each write our name on our cup so we wouldn't be going through a million cups. My dad wrote"vip cup, no exceptions" on his and I did'nt think that was very true so I decided to one up him:)

Kade was able to take a little Moab trip with a bunch of buddies from APX and...........yes they had lots of fun! When there is motorized vehicles and dirt involved, they are bound to have some fun!

Feeding the Geese!

Kade and I went to a park the other day and it was a really nice park, with lots of Geese. We sat by the bank of the water and the geese started coming over to us, and we had nothing to give them. Kade started flicking his hand like he was throwing stuff which of course made them think we had food. Pretty soon they realized it was'nt the real deal and they left. So the next day we decided to take bread to them to make up for their disappointment:) I have never fed a bird before out of my hand. It was kinda scarey! I wasn't going to do it, and Kade made me. He also said look at the camera when the bird take the bread out of your hand! So you'll see that pic below.
There was a little turtle just hanging out so I thought I would grab a quick snap of him.

There were a ton of geese! They just flocked around me!

My Lima Bean Wreath!

Okay, so I saw this cute idea online and decided that I loved it! I just got lima beans and a styrofoam wreath and glued the lima beans on the wreath. It was super easy. I will say that you do use quite a bit of glue and it does take some time. I bet it took me about 4 hours to make it, not including the time to spray paint it. But glue is super cheap. And I got the wreath half off at Micheals so it ended up costing me 5.80 (I think) for the wreath. I got the large size, but there is a medium one that I think would be really cute too. Infact, I'm going to make me one out of the medium, this one is for my mom for her B-day:) I think a yellow wreath with some kind of brown and turquoise ribbon would be so cute!

For You Sweet Home Alabama Lovers!

Well, about a week ago we moved again:) From El Dorado to Texarkana. But that was the last move till we come home! Which is in 11 days! yippee! Can't wait to see everyone! On our way to Texarkana, we saw this store called the Piggly Wiggly and I immediately thought of the movie "Sweet Home Alabama" with Reese Witherspoon in it! So I had to snap a pic!!! There is a line in the movie when she shows up on her husbands door step to serve him divorce papers and she says, "What, did they run out of soap down at the Piggly Wiggly since I left!" LOL! I love it! There you have it, there really are Piggly Wiggly's out here in the south!

Kade's Lunch

Its been a bit since I've blogged, we have been moving and moving and moving! LOL. But we are almost done. We have 4 more weeks left and then we are homeward bound! Technically the season is over for Kade's work but we have decided to extend for 4 weeks. So for now we live in hotels, and move around quite a bit. It will be nice to get home and see the family, but we are doing great! I've been able to hang out with Kade a bit more lately because his areas (for work) are really close. He came home for lunch the other day, but he had called before he came and asked if we should eat out or if we should stay and eat the stuff we had in the hotel fridge. I told him that we could do sandwhiches and yogurts and that I had a half a cantaloupe that he could eat. He said, "oh yum and I can put ice cream in the middle!" I guess it was something that his dad had done growing up, and I'm surprised at how good it is! So that was Kade's yummy Saturday lunch! LOL

And ofcourse he had to have chocolate syrup on it too! Kade is my chocolate man!

Okay! I'm warning you now, this post is HUGE! It really is so long BUT its all stuff that I've been wanting to post but havent yet, stuff that Kade and I have been doing out here in good ol Arkansas so here's the whole shibang! The above pic is Kade doing the Christy Yamaguchi, which only the Church family would understand, but its funny to watch him!! He usually does this trick on the trampoline!
This pic (Above) is of some of Kade's team members from the gladiator games that they did throughout last week! And Kades team won yeah!!!! They did these fun games to get some competition in the office going on, and the games consited of Relay races on foot and which scooters in the parking lot, a HIT of a golf ball (to see who could get closest), Joseph Smith stick pole game, slip n slide baseball, and the watermelon challege! The watermelon challenge was my favorite to watch! It was soooooo funny! They grease a watermelon and throw it in the pool and the teams have to fight to get it to their side of the pool.

So a lot of the wives did a girls night out at Orange Mango! LOVE THAT PLACE! MM MM!!! And it was so so fun, we were all laughing so hard! We talked about kids, husbands, wedding rings, and the boot that got put on Tara's van that night:( Seriously..........those boot companies make a killing! And I'm sure they sit there and watch out the windows, just waiting for someone to pull in, so they can make some money! But, it was still a FUN, very much needed night! Thanks everyone!

Ok, so I am posting a lot but I am so behind in blog posts!!! Its terrible! This was our hike that we went on a couple weeks ago, when we were moving to Fayettville. We decided to take a detour to Petit Jean State Park, which is very beautiful. We took a couple little hikes to see some nice scenery:) And it was very hot! But it was worht it. We went with our friends Chase and Janessa. Janessa is my good friend that I met out here, and we have a lot of fun together. We were being the little mermaid in the picture above, when she is on the rock! Ya, we're crazy!
This waterfall is beautiful. I wanted the people in the background to leave but there was always someone in the pic. If someone left, someone new was there! jeeez!

K, I think this is a terrible picture to show you my little creation but you can at least see it :) I was kinda in a hurry and I didn't have Kade here to help me take the pic:( So, my friend Janessa, has all these brilliant ideas....(I'm serious, she is so creative) and this was one of them! A Tee Shirt Dress! So I tried it and I totally love it! Its so comfy and you can wear it around the house and still feel cute :) I just took a T-shirt, cut it off, sewed a black peice of knit fabric to it, and sewed some printed knit fabric to the bottom! I'm going to make a few more because they are so comfortable and they look cute with flip flops:)

My Visit to Utah!

Oh boy! Where does time really go?? Before you know it, something you are looking forward to, is coming and then it is gone! I was able to come home for 10 days and hang out with my family and Kade's family and it was so fun and so good to see all of them! I don't fly too much but I really really love it, and I love the window seat! I had to snap a few pics because the wheater was so good! This was over Oaklahoma.

While I was in Utah I got to do many things that I have always loved, and I DIDNT get to see everyone that I would have liked to:(! Time just flys to fast! But like I said before, I got to see my family and that was the best part! Oh, and I got to eat CAFE RIO!!!!!!!!!!!! Mmmmmmm!!! I got to go running on my favorite old T road! I got to ride my cute little horse Classy, TWICE!!! I got to go paint my moms kitchen (which looks soooooo cute!), I got to do friends and family's hair (which is fun to catch up! Cause I miss everyone!) Got to shop (a little), I got to go to the Ute Stampede Rodeo!, and I got to hang out with all my siblings and have a yummy, Sunday turkey dinner! Mm Mm! And I love the mountains even more now that I don't have them here in Arkansas! :) I really want to tell all my family how much I love them(both sides)!! I really have a great family! They are all so awesome! It was so nice seeing all my neices and nephews! One of my little neices cuddled up on my lap and fell asleep! Awe! I loved it!
Horse riding! Oh, it was so nice to go riding again! Thats a part of me that will never die:) And I got to try my dad's new little trailer out! Not to shabby!

My dad and I went to the new arena in Mt. Pleasant, which is so very nice! And close. We also got to ride, another day, up in the North Hills, and thats always fun becuase there is a great view! Where we went, you can see 8 little towns at once, across the valley! Very cool! Too bad I didnt get pics of that. Its always fun to go ride with my dad, becuase thats what we have always done together.........thats what we do best! When I was little, I don't think he realized how much I shared his love of horses until one day, I got sick of waiting for him to be done with work so we could "go ride", so I just went without him and started doing it myself. I think after that is when we really started riding together! Cause he knew my heart was in it!

New paint! It was fun hanging out with my mom too! We always sit and chat and hang out! She has this cute little barn that is so old, its been on our wall since I can remember. And I actually still really really like it. I think its still so cute! So we decided to paint the kitchen colors to match the barn! I should have taken a before picture, but the walls were just a plain cream color everywhere. So we broke that up a bit and put some camel and red. It turned out so cute! And I know my mom is going to have so much fun enjoying her new kitchen!

The door was getting to a sad point in its long lived life. So we painted it too! And it is happy again!

Ute Stampede baby!!! Wahoooooo! I think this event is one of the things that really make a summer feel like a summer if that makes any kind of sense at all! You know, like the 4th of July celebrations, etc. The Stampede for me is one thing that makes my summer complete! hehe! silly, but true! Our family goes every year and it is seriously one of the best rodeos you'll ever go to! They have a sky diver (video clip below) jump out of a plane to bring the flag down into the arena! It just gives more of and honor to our flag(for me) to watch it for a long period of time, come out of the sky! Amazing! And they also have the best entertainment throughout the rodeo. This year for some of the main enteretainment, they had motor cross stunt men! Oh, so cool! They were doing all kinds of tricks, including backflips on their motor bikes! And of corse I loved the barrel racing and the trick rider that came.

My cute/beautiful/fun/adorable niece came and stayed at my moms with me for a couple days and helped me and my sister paint! We all had fun doing it. And it was really fun to see Cassidy and my sister and just hang out with them. Cass and I bought ring pops because I havent seen them in FOREVER! So I thought it would be fun to get a pic with our treasures. I told her this is the only bling I better see on her finger for a VERY long time! hehe!

A Very Good Day!

Wow! This summer has been such an amazing summer! I never would have guessed that we would have the opportunity to baptize this wonderful lady, Pamela! She is our newest friend! And she has blessed our lives so much! This is a crazy story! Crazy meaning, wonderful! So, Kade was out knocking doors one day (for work) and he had already met his goal for the day so he was feeling pretty good about his sales. Well he ran into Pamela. He started talking to her about security systems and mentioned that we were from Utah. She immediately said, "Oh, are you mormon?" He told her that he was. She started asking him questions and come to find out, she had ordered a Book of Mormon off a commercial back in 1989. So she has had this book for quit some time now. Kade told her to go get her Book of Mormon, so she did. She had some misconceptions about the church, which he talked to her about. He started marking places for her to read, and she really started to feel the spirit, which Kade identified to her. She was so happy and excited to start reading. He also set up a time with the missionaries so they could start teaching her. The missionaries came the next day which was a Tuesday and Kade and I also set up a time to come visit her with the missionaries the following Sunday. So we had multiple visits with her on Sunday evenings with the missionaries, and the missionaries also continued to teach her on Tuesday nights. So this has been over a period of about a months worth of time. We also took her to church, which she really loved! She was so ready to accept the gospel. And we have had so many spiritual talks with her about God and Jesus Christ. So she accepted baptizm and she asked Kade to baptize her, so he did today!!!!!! And she asked me to speak at her baptizm! What a great experience! She is such a wonderful person that will always be our friend forever!
Pamela has a wonderful sense of humor! Along with all of the spiritual talks, we had some gut splitting laughs with her! She would get the missionaries laughing so hard that sometimes it was hard to stop! She wasn't quit sure about the suit that she had to wear to be baptized in and then when we wanted pictures with her she said, "Oh, you know what I'm going to look like??? A raisin in a bowl of milk!!!!!" Haaaaa!!!! I was laughing so hard! She is so funny and such a joy to be around! I'm so grateful that we got to have this experience and feel the joy that comes from sharing the gospel!

Water Games, Shaving Cream, Tug of Wars and Fun!

Ok, so this was a blast!!! Last night for young womens, we had water games, Shaving Cream fights, and Tug of Wars! Not to mention musical chairs with shaving cream! It was so much fun and the girls got very into the games so that made it even more fun! I'm going to miss my girls and the other leaders :( My time was short with them, but I feel like we all got really close! (There is a movie clip at the bottom that is so funny of the Tuala sisters playing muscial chairs, getting really into it!! I laughed and laughed at those two!)

Mod Podge Shoes!

Okay, so I just took some plain old shoes and decided to put fabric over them with Mod Podge and it totally worked! It was so much fun! I think they turned out way cute! I had heard of the idea, and googled it. And you can just get the cheap kind of shoes, like at walmart or just some that you have and cover them so your not spending a bunch, and they look awesome!

So this is in the process of doing them.

And I had started some of them without taking a before picture, so thats why you only see 3 before shoes instead of 6!! hehe!

All Done!

I really love the green ones, in fact when I googled the idea, I found a picture of shoes with the exact same green fabric, and when I went to hobby lobby, they had the material! I was so excited!

I was thinking I may put a little something on these ones, like a red flower on the toe or something, just to spice them up a bit........still don't know what I'm going to do. I may leave them, just to be able to wear more outfits with them.....

I love these too! They are so crazy and thats what I like!

Kade thinks I'm a bit crazy for always wanting to get pictures, but I've decided I have my Grandma Crosland in me! She would always take us to do pictures, so she could make these cute calendars, and she would keep taking you until she got the right shot that she wanted! hehe!

I just have to say that I love mod podge! I haven't really played with it too much but I went yard saleing the other day with some of the other wives that are out here and we found these old encyclopedias that were 25 cents a peice. Janessa, (one of the wives) was saying how she had saw this cute idea on a blog about covering books to decorate with, so we decided we should get them and try it, I mean 25 cents, you can't really go wrong! And I have to say that it was extremely fun to do and I want to do some more!!!

Today is our 5 year anniversary! It seems like it was just yesterday, and in other ways it seems like it was forever ago! It definately makes me think of the song "Don't Blink". Time flys by so quickly and sometimes we don't even realize it! The past five years have been so amazing! I don't know how I am so blessed! I look other people out there in the world and think, "Why me? Why did I get such a wonderful life!?" Kade is the best thing that has ever happened to me! I look back at the last 5 years and all that we have been through together, and feel so blessed to have had the rough times and the good times. And one thing that I remember Kade's dad writing in our guest book was, "You think you love each other now, but, just wait". And its so true! You start out so very much in love with each other but you really have no idea. There are so many experiences that come along that build your love for each other. Its awesome!

I thought I would post some pics that maybe some of you haven't seen before. I've gotta try and change it up each year! hehe! :) (The above pic was one of our engagement pics)

This was at the luncheon.

Yup! This is the in-laws! hehe! AND I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT! They are a hoot! You always know when you go to the Church house that your going to laugh, one way or another! During the luncheon, Kade's mom and dad busted out the Sonny and Cher costumes and sang the famous, "I Got You Babe!" It was great! I thought my dad was going to die, he was laughing so hard!

And our little buddy Tyson, sang an Elvis song which was another good gut splitter! He really does have an amazing voice! But he also did the, "I Love Technology" song from, Napoleon Dinamite. Crazy...Fun...Madness!

And yes, can you see the pleasure all over my face!!!! There was no being nice about it!!! When you get married, you shove cake in each others face!!! However he was nice to me, but I went first, then, once he realized how I role, he got me back! :) But only by forcing me to kiss him with cake all over his face! That doesn't sound like Kade at all does it!

And of course I had to have my horse at the wedding, but only for a second. My brother actually went to the farm and got him for me so I could get a quick picture with him. Good ol "Classy Horse!"

Maybe Kade shouldn't see this blog post because he will cry. He loved this truck so much! He wishes he wouldn't have sold it! It was his absolute favorite! This was right after the reception, and after my brothers hooked up the wiring in the truck, that they had so discretely dismantled!

Quilt With Ribbon?

So, I was at the fabric store the other day, and I'm really liking to sew, so it gets somewhat dangerous for me to go to the fabric store, because I want everything!!!! But I did find this black and white material that I just couldnt live another day without!! hehe! I immediately thought of making it into a quilt and tieing it with a cherry red ribbon! So, thats just what I did! I wasn't quite sure about the ribbon, if it would fade onto the fabric if I washed it, or if it would frey, so I took a piece of the ribbon and washed it to experiment, and it seemed just fine. I didn't have any quilting frames so I just laid out the material and tied it on the floor, which wasn't that bad actually. My mom has been wanting me to post the pics of my new quilt, and the one above was taken right when I got out of bed, so excuse the sleepy eyes! hehe!!
The only bad thing about making all these projects is I'm going to have to haul them all home :( I guess we'll just strap em to the top of the car!!!

My Turtle

Okay, hehe.....so I HAD this turtle friend in my spare bathroom tub for a week. I love turtles, and we had the missionaries over for Sunday dinner last week and they happened to have a turtle in the van that they were driving! They had picked it up off the road, and had had it for their pet for a couple days, and then were going to set it loose after dinner with us. So I told them I really really wanted some pictures of it, and they said, "Well, you can just have it if you want!" So I was like, "Um sure!!!" Kade told me to keep it for a little while and have fun with it. So that's what I did! I kept it in the spare bathroom tub for about 5 days! (Which was kinda gross, not going to lie). But it was fun to go in there and see what he was doing. I even bought him some pet store minnows that he would not eat! I guess he was kind of on strike! He was kinda mad at the end of his stay with us, he tried biting Kade, I think he missed his family!! Oh, and Kade named him Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Of Course!!! LOL. So, today, Friday, on our way to the gym this morning, we let him loose :( And boy, did he bolt like lightning when he saw the pond!

Right about this point, he darted like you wouldn't believe! He was so ready to be back in that pond!

I think I'm a little crazy for keeping a turtle in my tub! Oh well! It was fun! And now I can pull out the bleach baby!

Funny Story!

Okay, sorry that this picture is not very clear, but, at least you can see the craziness! So, I was making Kade's breakfast this morning as he was showering. He got out, put his cloths on, and his hat. He then was on the computer for a minute checking his business emails. I told him that his breakfast was ready so he came and sat at the table and took his hat off. He had no idea that his hair looked like this! I just started to laugh! He said, "What??" I said, "Just go look in the mirror, hurry, just go look!" So he did and I could hear him laughing from the other room! It was pretty good! Gotta love what the hat can do for the hair! Hey..........thats not a bad idea for me!!! :) hehe!

Our Morning Stroll

There are so many beautiful things out here in Arkansas! Kade and I like to walk around this big pond because there are so many cool animals to look at as you walk by. I love how all the water just flows all around the communities. Like its part of the backyard! Its really been fun seeing another part of the country! And I love Hobby Lobby, for all my crafting needs! hehe!

Off to the right, are peoples back yards and their little docks that they sit on and have BBQs! And when the storms come, the docks usually get covered with water and then the water line just goes back down! hehe!

So we saw many different animals on our walk today! It was fun, and I knew the turtles would be out! So I wanted to take my camera! So..........check, we saw the turtles to day! I LOVE turtles!!!!!!!!

We saw a nest, under the flower bed cement holder! I'm assuming some of the ducks laid them.

So I was able to bring my sewing machine out here to Arkansas that Kade got me for Christmas! And I have been making belts! And its so much fun! I may keep some of them, or give them away..........or sell them! Who knows! But they are fun to make and I really like wearing them with a solid color dress or long shirt!

So, I know, your probabley thinking, "Thats not a lake picture". Its not, thats right, but, I thought I would throw it in my blog post because Kade likes to make these faces all the time, so you might as well see the "Real Him". His work needed another picture of him sent in, and so I was doing him a favor by taking a picture for him, so I told him to smile but he decided that he wanted to do something else, so, I took the picture! He does not know that I posted this, and he may not be very happy :) But.....I control this blog :)!!! Wow, I just looked at it again, it doesnt even look like him! What a crazy goof!
Ahh...yes, here is the lake pictures. This was the harbor at Lake Maumelle. Very Beautiful!

There are all kinds of little trails that you can hike! They are pretty much everywhere!

Kade did not even bring his fishing pole with him! Which I totally thought he would! But we had no idea that there was going to be water EVERYWHERE! We may have to buy him a little $30 pole or something, so he can fish :( Poor guy!

It was nice to get out and see the scenery after that crazy storm! We had tornado watches for 2 days straight! It was kinda scarey!

I thought this was so So SO pretty! It is a perfect spot for bridals or engagement pictures!!!

Ok, by popular demand, I'm posting these pictures...............against my will! Hehe! There have been a few people tell me to post my wisdom teeth pictures, so, ok, I guess I will. Everyone has to do it right???? Everyone has to go through the shame of a fat face! ............accept for my SISTER!!!!!!!!!!! Ahh, I cant believe she was born without wisdom teeth! I had all four, not fair, not fair! And I actually swelled quite a bit more, but we took the pics because we thought my face was fat enough, and then it got worse! So, I got my wisdom teeth out about 2 weeks before we left for Arkansas, because they started to really hurt me. So I thought, I'd might as well get them done. So....I did, and I didn't feel a thing, until later, but then, I have to say that I healed up really well. And Kade took such good care of me, he blended all my food so I could eat! What a great hubby. He also made me laugh in the above pic, which I was not appreciative of!.....because it hurt like crazy to laugh!
I can't believe what a different person I look like!

All back to normal!!!!!!!!!!! Yeeeeeey! I can chew now!

Sunday Drive to Pinnacle Mountain!

So we decided that Sunday's are going to be our explore day, just to check out places of Arkansas that we have never been before, and I talked to a local guy and he said that Pinnacle Mountain was pretty cool and that we would have to go there before we left. So, we decided to take a trip out there, Its pretty much the only mountain around, and its only about 30 minutes or so. It was very beautiful! We could actually see above the trees, the terrain that we are living in! It was great! And these farmlands have lots of yellow blossoms right now. The scenic overlook was nice. We read a little plaque that told us the elevation of Pinnacle Mountain and we were thinking it was going to be a few thousand feet or so, nope!!! Its a whopping 1100 feet! I was so surprised! It just looks big because there are no mountains here:)

So I have to say that Arkansas is absolutely beautiful!!!!! I have never seen so many trees in all my life! I just keep telling my family that, but really they are everywhere and so thick! And there is this really cool little park by our house with an old mill in it, that is so beautiful! Pictures really don't do it justice! I am liking Arkansas so far! :)

This is the Oklahoma City Temple that we visited (Scroll down and you can read the story)
The Albuquerque New Mexico Temple (My pictures are in reverse order, but Oh well, you get the idea :) And the pic below is the Monticello, Utah Temple.

Wheeew! Things have finally slowed down a bit and I can relax. And I have internet! Yeey for that! Well we sold our house, moved across the country and are doing something completely new! Crazy! But it is good. We did not know if our house was going to sale or not, the banks are hard to work with these days, so we just said, whatever happens is meant to be. And..........the sale went through, we moved our stuff out on Monday and Tuesday, the 12th and 13th, then, we went to Salt Lake on Wed. to sign papers for closing, and headed to Arkansas the next day! It was all kind of blur, but it was amazing how everything just worked our perfectly! We were able to stay in our house up until the day we closed, which was absolutely great! We could not have asked for a better scenario. We feel like the Lord has blessed us so much! And the drive down was long, but it was so nice to hang out with Kade the whole time. We were able to visit 3 temples on our way down which was a really neat experience. It took a bit longer to get there but it was worth it. We stopped at the Monticello temple in Utah, on Thursday, did a session, then went to Farmington and stayed with Kade's dad. Then got up the next day and drove to Albuquerque, New Mexico and went to the temple there, then drove to Oklahoma City, were we stayed the night. Then, got up the next day (Saturday) and did a session at the Oklahoma Temple, and then drove to Little Rock, Arkansas! I can't wait to go to the Memphis Temple, but that will be a bit later I'm sure. :) So thats the update with us!!!!!!! :) We miss and love you all!

So I was sitting there one day, and I looked at my poor old, oak entertainment center and thought, "That just looks sad!...........I think I want to paint it!.....right NOW!" So I said it out loud, "I want to paint the entertainment center right now!" and Kade looked at me and said, "Now????!!!!...Right now??...Why not another day!" And I said, "Because it wont get done another day! " hehe! So he went along with the idea and actually helped me a little! I wish I had the before picture with me right now, but I dont :( I will have to post that later! But I have to say, I love Love LOVE it so much more now!

Birthday Fun For Kade!!!

So for Kade's birthday, I took him to Fast Kart Indoor Speedway. It was a blast!!! I've only ever done the little go carts at Lagoon, so this was extremely fun for me!!!!! We all were just going crazy! I found that I have a need for speed! hehe! Kade also had so much fun...........that he clenched the steering wheel so hard, and his fingertips turned white! We were all laughing at him! But it was a great time and Kade had a good surprise for his birthday!
We all had to wear hairnets under our helmets, so Kade is just showing you how lovely we all looked!

Hanging Out In New Mexico:)

First of all, I hope you all had a great Christmas! Kade and I had a wonderful Christmas hanging out with all the family! We played rock band and hung out with his family and we had a yummy dinner and exchanged white elephant gifts with my family. I love when the entire famiy is there because there is always lots of noise, a few babies crying and its just a wonderful, crazy setting that I wouldn't trade for the world!!!!! My favorite part of our Christmas dinner was the Christmas slush! MM MM! My mom does this slush drink that is so dang good and it always makes me think of past Christmas's when we would do a big dinner with my cousins and my grandparents. It was great hanging out with Kade's family too, I was actually getting the hang of the guitar on rock band!!! hehe!

So now here we are in New Mexico. As some of you already know, Kade's precious little monte carlo decided it was tired of Kade driving it to fast and it finally died. So we have uno car that we are driving. The search has been on for a 2nd vehicle for quite some time now and we finally found what we wanted...........in Albuquerque New Mexico. So we decided that we would come and stay with Kade's dad because he is currently working in New Mexico, and then just pick the car up on monday and drive back. So today is a relax day........something that seems few and far between these days, as I'm sure you all feel like that:) So Happy Sunday everyone! And Happy New Years too:)!!!

Paintballing for Thanksgiving!!!

Oh boy!! Thanksgiving is always a blast when there is some paint and guns involved!!!! This is the crew!!! Kade's family (along with lots of friends) always do paintball the day after Thanksgiving. And there is always someone who ends up very welted!!! I think Cody took the brunt end of the welts and the the little guy Dallas was the cause of the damage! Don't under estimate the little ones!! hehe!!! Lacey had some nice purple spots adorning her arm as well. Good times I tell ya!!!

Also our Thanksgiving day was wonderful. We had the opportunity to spend the day with the Cook side, and I have to say I love love love my mom's Turkey! Oh my! I have bragging rights on her! Anyone who has tasted it, will agree with me! :) And ofcorse we all ate to much!

I've decided I have a theory on the eating to much, I think we all intend on not overeating, but there are to many dishes to choose from that we just have to try a bit of everything, so hence, we eat to much! Which also does not leave any room for "what you like best and are saving room for, and want more of". hehe! Oh well, its once a year right!!!! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday!

Kade's little brother Tyson, plays football for Snow College and we have been going to his home games. This past Saturday was his last home game. He has one more away game and then it is the big bowl game at the Rio Tinto Stadium, which will be so fun to go watch! Snow has ony lost one game this year, so that makes them 9 and 1. We have a lot of fun cheering him on! We get kinda rowdy.......and I love it! Go Snow!!!

We went to Mike and Jenny's Annual Halloween Party again this year and dressed up as fisherman..........I know your thinking, "well thats not that funny" but when we pulled up to their house that night, we had to get ready outside before we came in. We wore our waders, our fishing poles, nets, flippers, and our inflated tubes around our waist! We saw them look out their window, like they were wating for us to come in, but it was dark so they couldn't see our costumes. It was pretty hillarious when we were finally ready and walked or I should say waddled up their stairs. We had a hard time fitting through their door, we had to tip the tubes sideways. They did give us the traveling trophy of "Best Costume" this year! Fun times!

This past weekend was en eventful one. We went camping Thursday night to Friday morning with some friends, Nick and Jana, which was a blast! We went 4-wheeling and camped in a tent and had a yummy breakfast. The leaves are absolutely amazing! Fun fun. Then on Saturday, we went hunting with some of Kade's hunting buddies. It was so fun to hear the elk bugling all around us! What a crazy fun thing to do. And ofcourse, I got stung, TWICE while we were hiking around! hehe! I've never been stung in my life and I had to get it, not just once but two times, in the neck and in the leg, right through my pants. Hence the mud all over me. Hey, it was all worth it! I love to hunt with Kade, call me crazy but I am sort of addicted! :)

So I had this huge blog post ready with all of my favorite pics of our fun weekend and then my computer decides to go crazy and lose everything!!!! What a pain! So here are just a few pictures from our weekend, I will have to post more later. We had so much fun, we went to Jackson Hole Wyoming, and stayed a couple of nights at the Red Hills Ranch, which is an extremely gorgious horse ranch that my cousin operates. We went on a beautiful horse ride up the mountain which overlooks the ranch and also you can see the Grand Teton Mountains in the distance! We also fished and went shopping in Jackson, and had a yummy BBQ! Thanks to my cousin for a great weekend in such a beautiful place!

He has a lot of exotic animals because he is a biology teacher. I thought this would make a great post card................so if any of you get this for a special occasion..............you'll know that it came from the creative mind of ME! hehe

Kade and I had a blast at the Crosland family reunion this past weekend! The Croslands are on my mom's side of the family. The family reunion was held at my uncle's house in Idaho. My uncle has the best place in the world! He lives on some farmland with a river and tons of trees that cover everything! He also has this awesome barn, which you saw Kade and I swinging in. There are so many different levels in this barn, it is crazy! We played "Barn Tag" when it got dark. They had some lights on inside the barn so that you could mostly see, but there were still some good hiding places! And you can only imagine how crazy that got, with people jumping from rope to rope, sliding down the fireman's poles, and running up and down stairs from level to level! Then after we played barn tag, we went down to the creek beds and played "Ghost in the Graveyard". Which was also a blast! My Uncle is amazing, he has built all of these little walk-ways out of wood that wind all throughout the creek beds! And......the walk-ways also go from tree to tree.........yup, up above your head. There are a whole bunch of little tree houses everywhere and a lot gazebos at ground level. There is also a guest house and a guest cabin down in the creek beds. He really has done an awesome job with everything. I love when we all get together, thats when you make the best memories!

Wow, I am such a slacker! Actually I think everyone is this time of the year! Its the season for family reunions, 4th of July, BBQs and camping! And I wouldn't have it any other way! The Boulder Mountain!!!!!! Wahoo!

This past week Kade and I were able to take a week long vacation down to the Boulder Mountain. It was wonderful! I have so many pictures, so I thought I would post the scenic ones first that I took. I will post more later. Kade's family always goes to the boulder in June. Its kind of their family reunion sort of thing. Its Kade's immediate family that goes. And boy do we have fun! We arrived on Sunday evening and stayed till Saturday afternoon. Monday, we went fly fishing to lower bowns lake where Kade tought me how to cast the fly reel pretty good. The beaches are so beautiful! Tuesday we went fishing to upper bowns lake in our float tubes, I sure love the float tubes! Wednesday we hiked into calf creek falls, very beautiful! Thursday it rained, so I was able to hang out with Edward(twilight) in my tent all day long! I have't started the series because "Im not reading these stupid books"...........hmmm, well.........Im sort of hooked now! hehe! So I really didn't mind the rain on Thursday at all! Then on Friday, it was great weather so the whole family went and played danish ball. That was a good time too. And ofcourse all of the fun campfire stories are great. Oh....hehe, one of the nights, Kade and I were in Cody and Shannons trailer with them playing a game, while the rest of the family where singing outside around the campfire. Well they were our radio station......we would stick our head out the door and put in a request.....and they would sing it.....everytime! It was great! :) The Church's are always a hoot!

Where Did That Come From!!!?

Rain Rain Rain! Oh my gosh! Today Kade and I were at Costco getting some groceries and when we went in the store, it was kinda cloudy but the sun was shining. We were probably in there for 30 minutes or so. When we came out, it was just lightly sprinkling. We looked up and saw a huge dark rain cloud and within about 10 seconds, it started to down pour like no other! We took a mad dash to our car! We had to still load all of our groceries into the trunk, so we were both just scrambling to get the wet groceries into the trunk, all the while we were laughing our heads off! I had just got ready for the day, showered and straitended my hair..............not for long! My hair has natural curl and it was soaked!!! Kade yelled to get in the car so I wouldnt get more wet, but I felt bad making him run around in the rain, so I helped get most of the groceries in the trunk, then I climbed in the car, while he ran the cart back. When he got in the car, I just laughed so hard! It looked like we both had jumped in a swimming pool! Kade had water running off his nose and face! Wow! That made for an interesting grocery shopping trip! hehe!

Happy 4th Anniversary!

The big 4 year anniversary has come and gone. It was a wonderful weekend. Our anniversary was on the 4th of June which was Thursday so we just had a whole weekend of anniversary time together. On Monday(the 1st of June) Kade brought me an envelope, and it said, "Open this when you get home from work on the 4th of June"! Hello!!!!!!!! Anyone who knows me, knows this was a very hard thing to do, and I just wanted to rip it open every second all through the week! And anyone who knows Kade, knows that he did this on purpose knowing that it would drive me crazy! Well the 4th came and I openend my envelope. I found the most wonderful letter that Kade had written me along with a weekend adgenda! He had planned what we would be doing the entire weekend and had it all written down. It was so cool because you could tell it had been very thought out. We ended up doing a lot of things, just around here, like horse riding, fishing, "visited our engagement spot", Stayed in a cute little lodge, watched movies, and just hung out all weekend. I am truly amazed at how awesome my husband is. I feel so blessed to have him. He is my everything! I couldnt have asked for a better life! I love you babe with all my heart! You are the best ever!

This is the little lodge/house place that we stayed in. We also stayed there a while back, for Valentines Day so it probably looks familiar. If anyone wants to stay here, it is so awesome! I highly recomend it! Its very inexpensive and it is right next to Fairview canyon, just a few minutes away from some good fishing! It has a full kitchen that you can cook in, a very adorable bathroom, and ofcorse the loft/bedroom area! We watched movies in bed and on the love sac, and ate dark choclate the whole weekend! Awwwwwww! Nice!!

During our fun weekend, Kade took me for a ride up the mountain to where he had purposed to me. Five years ago, he took me up the canyon after dinner at the olive garden and asked me to marry him on this rock. This rock has a bit of a history behind it. This is where we first kissed. So a year later when he asked me to marry him, he told me that this is were he had first comitted to me, and now he wanted to commit for eternity! Only when he asked me, it was in the snow! He had put rose petals down the path to the rock and there was a picture of the manti temple all wrapped up and 2 dozen roses. So I really like this picture, it reminds me of that special moment:)

The ending part of our weekend was up at Huntington Lake. We took my mom and dad up there with us to fish, and my brother and two of his boys came up too. This was Kade's tiger trout that he caught.

Our Memorial Day Weekend.......

Our Memorial Day weekend consisted of a few different events. On Saturday, we planted a garden at Kade's parents house. It is a big family garden that we all chipped in on. As you can see pictured above, Kade and Ty are wearing very expensive, brand new, LOVE-IT-Gotta have it, coal miners hats. They dug around in the storage area in the basement and managed to find these beautiful hats. I really almost couldnt get it off of Kade! He wanted to wear it the whole day!

This is all of us by Shara's grave (Kade's sister). We also put flowers on Aunt Erlene's and baby Rachel's graves. Its nice to go out to the cemetary to honor your loved ones and remember them! We also went over to my parents house and went out to the cemetary with them. We ended our wonderful weekend with a trip up the canyon to go fishing, which I will have to blog about later:) But for now, I must go to bed, it is way past my bed time! (Its really not 9:29, its almost 11!)

Grandpa Cook's Funeral

Grandpa Cook passed away last Wed. He is my dad's father. He was a great man! He has so much family who loved him! It was a beautiful day, and it was so nice to see all of my family and extended family. You can't help but feel all the love that people show when something like this happens. It really brings you close together. The funeral services were so nice. Everyone who spoke and took part did so well. You could really feel the spirit. I love all of the flower arrangements that were given. My grandpa had sheep most of his life, so the flowers above have a little sheep camp wagon in them.

My grandpa served in World War Two so this is the flower arrangement that my family got for him. I love the flags, I love red white and blue! I love what the flag stands for!

At the cemetary the American Legion presented my dad and my uncle with an American Flag that was draped on the casket, because they served in Vietnam. It was so neat to see, it just brings tears to my eyes. I love patiotism and I love this country. Lots of wonderful men have died defending this country!

Fishing for FHE!

Last night for FHE we decided to go to Strawberry Reservoir! What a blast! We caught so many fish! And they were all huge!!! I love love love fishing when you are catching them left and right! We only kept one because you can only keep them if they are 22 inches or above. But thats ok, that just means theres always really big fish in there! We both caught the same amount of fish so the bets we made of out fishing each other were void! Thats ok!

A Perfect Day!

I remember posting a while back and I talked about one of those perfect days that you have, that are so awesome that you wish you could re-live again and again! Well, Saturday was another one of those days! Kade and I went camping down on Boulder Mountain, on Friday night and stayed till Saturday night. In the morning on Saturday, Kade and I got up to go look for turkeys, (the turkey hunt is going on right now and Kade has a tag), but it was pretty rainy and muddy so we ended up going back to the trailer. We made some breakfast/lunch, took a nap, and played kanasta. By that time the sun had come out so we decided to hang out, outside the trailer. We played a little frisbee golf, and another game with the frisbees that we kinda just made up. Then we took off for a little 4-wheeler ride. When we got back, we decided to go to the upper lake to see how far we could make it, and if we were able to make it, then we would fish. Well, we got to the snow line and no further! So we sat there for a minute and decided to try and call a turkey in just for fun. Well, to our surprise, one came right into us! So Kade pulled out the bow and stuck him! It was crazy! He's never got a turkey before so he was pretty excited, and to get it with his bow is even more amazing! He's pretty much Robin Hood! If I were lost and starving in the mountains, I would want to be lost with him! After he got his turkey, we loaded it up, and headed for home! What a great weekend!

Kade is enjoying his yummy cinnamon/raisin oatmeal! And when he eats, he doesnt mess around.....look at him, he's all over that food, elbows and all!

I dont know about any of you, but I've never seen an M&M vending machine before! I thought it was rather unusual, so I had to get a picture of it. It was in one of the little towns that we stopped in to get gas on our way.

Saturday we had a fun date night! It all started last Sunday when we were hanging out on the grass at my moms house for Sunday dinner and Amy said to me and Stacia, "what are you guys doing this weekend?" We said, "Nothing", she said, "Lets get together and go eat or something" we said, "sounds fun!" And then at the last minute my mom and dad decided to come! We had a fun time though! It was fun just hanging out and being rowdy!

I havent quite figured it out! I just dont know why he looks like this in all of our pictures, here I am thinking he is smiling nice and look what he does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! We sure had a blast!! As you can see Kade acts like a kid when any holiday comes around! Actually..........he acts like a kid all the time but you know what I mean! We spent the weekend at the Church's house.........and had a lot of fun coloring Easter eggs, playing games, and making yummy food! We even hid the eggs that we colored for Cody and Shannon's kids to find the next morning! (Kade's brother) I love Easter and I love being with family!!!! Its also a wonderful time to reflect on our Savior, his life and teachings and the resurrection. Im greatful for the gospel and for this Easter time!

Are'nt these puppies so cute!!!!!!!! They are Kade's brothers. I know his brother is wanting to get rid of them so if anyone wants one, you can let me know:) After playing with them, I wanted to pack all four of them up in our truck and take them home!! But I had to stop myself, since my back yard is pretty small. It was fun watching Kade and Bo(nephew) wrestle around with the dogs. Thats a lot of fur in one picture!

The other night we were out taking some pictures at Utah Lake and I caught this awesome photo of Kade skipping a rock across the water. He can seriously skip like 15 times!!!! In the picture, it shows about 5 skips but it went about 10 times! I love watching him do this cause he is so good at it! And then theres me! And Im lucky if I get 3 skips!!!!!

For Valentines/Kades birthday weekend, we went down to Fairview. Kades brother and his wife have this neat little house that they have fixed up, and they were so nice to let us stay in it!!!! You should have seen this house before they fixed it up, wow. It was so run down. They have done an amazing job with it!!!!!!!! It was so much fun to get away and also to be with family all at the same time!!!!! Thanks Brandon and Carol!

Hey everyone, its Kades birthday tomorrow (the11th)!!! So remember to give him as many birthday calls as you want!!!! I was going to post a funny picture of him like I did last year but, I couldnt really find any:( I'll just have to take new funny ones of him!!!!

I must say that Kade is the best husband I could've ever asked for!!! He is amazing!! Im so proud of the person he is and for his strength in the gospel. He helps me everyday, he is my strength, and my everything!! It is so fun to live a life with someone who treats you so good and who you are so crazy about!!! Thanks Kade for everything you are!! We finally got some new family pictures taken. I set up my camera on a tripod, and had a cousin come and push the button:) It was getting dark really fast and we had to hurry so the picture is a little darker than what I would have liked but hey.....we got the picture! And thats all that matters!! We've had a couple new additions to the family since our last family picture, so we needed a new one pretty bad. Our family is getting so big! And there are two more on the way!!! (No Im not preg.) hehe

This past weekend Kade and I went to the temple with Sam and Stacia! It was so much fun! It was kinda crazy finding a place to park but we ended up making it! We did a session there at the Salt Lake Temple. It is such a gorgious temple. It was kinda neat, because we had to walk all the way from the Hilton(thats were we finally ended up parking), and on the way, you just saw the busy streets and all the people going their ways, and then you enter the temple and its just so peaceful and quiet. I couldnt help think of all the comotion going on outside the walls and we couldnt hear any of it. What a blessing to be able to go to such a place and get away from the world. I love the lights at Christmas time at Temple Sqare!!! They are beautiful! Kade and I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!!! We hope all is well with all of you!!!!!!

I just had to post this!! I took this picture over the weekend-when we were at my moms house for dinner. I absolutley love this picture!!! It makes me laugh, and smile, and laugh some more!!! This is Stetson, my sister's youngest. She was holding him up and then she would swing him downward, and he just kept laughing!!! It was so funny to watch!! What a cutie!!! Thank heavens for kids!!!

Weekend Fun!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with your families!!! Kade and I had a blast! We spent the Thanksgiving holiday with both of our families and it was much needed! We both cant get enough of our families! We love going to see them! My family does a little tradition every Thanksgiving morning.....we all go out and skeet shoot. I really like it. We have a lot of fun, although sometimes Im the only girl there. Except Stacia came this year!!! And she can shoot a gun! We are usually out shooting for an hour or more. Then we come home and eat at 1:00. We also stayed with Kades family and hung out there. We played the Wii and laughed a lot! Kades family is always know to get a little rowdy but we always have a good time. Thanks everyone for the fun weekend! Love you all!

Snow College Football Game!!!!!

This past weekend we went to Kade's little brother Tyson's football game. It was way fun! Kades whole family usually goes and they get pretty rowdy in the stands!!! It was Tyson's final game of the season other than thier bowl game. They are undefeated!! And they are ranked number one in the nation! They have had an amazing season! Im excited for their bowl game! It will be awesome! Good job Ty!!!!!!! Your awesome!!!!

So yes Im still alive! I know I havent posted forever!!! I got a new job and Im still doing hair so Im crazy busy. But its a good thing:)

I just wanted to tell all the Veterans, HAPPY VETERANS DAY!!!! And especially my dad. He is so special to me! Im so thankful for his service to our country! He has a lot of character because of his experiences. Love ya DAD!!!

For Young Womens we went to the haunted forest!! It was so much fun to go with the girls! We all just buddied up and huddled together! We almost wounded each other from holding on so tight!! I think Aubrie was digging Harris:) Stephanie Fiso was my partner through thick and thin!! hehe! We were both kinda scared but we made it! A Little Hike

So Kade had Monday off and we decided to go for a little hike up the canyon above the temple. It is so pretty up there. I love all the neat rock formations. And what a view of the temple!!! So pretty! Its was nice to go and just spend some time together. Sometimes life gets stressful and you just need to get away from it all:) This is a great place to do that!!!!!!

Fall Time!!

I love the fall!!! I love all the colors! And I love being with Kade up in the mountains. We went for a little hike yesterday to see the leaves and to see if we could hear any elk, bugling. And we got both!!! There were amazing colors in the trees and we heard lots of elk bugling everywhere! It was so fun. I just wished we had more time!

You are probably wondering what this is. It is one of those snow drift gaurds that protect the roads from getting snow piled up on them. I thought it was cool because it looks like it goes on forever:) It was at the end of our hike so we were kinda just messing around.

So today, Monday, I attended my cousins funeral. And what a beautiful service for him. It was a celebration of his life and his service to others. There were so many things that I learned about him that I never knew. It really makes you stop and think about how important family is to you. It makes you want to get together with family and extended family more often to make memories, because the memories are really what lasts. It makes you want to throw your arms around them and tell them how much you care! Life is to short to worry and stress about the little things. The gospel of Jesus Christ and our Families are the most important things we have. Im so thankful that I have the knowledge of the plan of salvation, that families can be together forever!! This life is just a stepping stone to where we will be someday! Im so thankful for ALL of my family, immediate and extended, and I love them all so much!

Jeep Ride to Marble Hill

This week has been fun but busy! We have been out of town for a solid week and its good to be back. Kade has been hunting, I went with him for a few days and then I was staying at my moms helping her remodel her house. But on Sunday, for our usual twice a month dinners at my moms, we (before dinner) went on a long fun jeep ride to a little place up on the mountain called marble hill. There are all these little rocks that are almost perfectly round....like marbles. It was cool to find them. It was nice to end the weekend with a Sunday jeep ride. It was fun hanging out with my brothers family, and my sister-in-law's family.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

It was my Grandpa Cooks birthday party on Saturday. It was one of the funnest parties I've ever been too. It was a Hawiian Luau. All of my cousins were there, and there were NO KIDS!!! The kids were specifically not invited which was the greatest idea ever, it made all the cousins mingle and get rowdy!! What a blast!! We started off the night with some yummy dinner, and pina coloda smoothies!! Then we got right into the games!! There were a lot of games. I liked watching everyone do the limbo!! hehe!! Then after games they lit the candles and some fireworks and sang to my grandpa. We all had cake. Then the best part of all, was story time. My grandpas kids told memoies of grandpa that they had. Some stories were gut splitting and some were tear jerkers!! Im greatful for my family and for my grandpa!! Im blessed to have the great anchestors that I do. I love you grandpa, Happy Birthday!! And a special thanks to my Aunt Jewel for the great party!!!

Cabin Time!!

This weekend was so much fun!! We went to our cook family cabin. I just love staying there. At the cabin we have ponds for fishing and paddle boats, horse riding, 4-wheeling, and whatever else you want to do in the mountains!!! Kade and I have always loved the outdoors! Its just our way of life! We always have yummy food and tons of fun!! I love spending time with the family. It was so neat because all of my brothers and my sister was there, and there was a point that we were all in the kitchen at the same time!!! Without family, life would mean nothing! I want to tell my family how much I love them and thank you for the fun weekend!!

Kade and I had so much fun at Sam and Stacia's wedding. And ofcorse he had to pull some weird faces as usual! The whole day was just a beautiful, fun day!!! Its sad that it had to end!

Girls Camp-Oh YA BABY!!!!

So as some of you know, I was the camp director this year for our ward. We had a blast! Kade was able to come up with me the first day of camp because I roped him into fulfilling the required priesthood assignment:) It was so much fun to have him there for a little while. The girls loved him. Our theme this year was "Rock On". And of corse we had a fun rock concert, an did our rowdy stuff but the spiritual side of it was amazing!! Our Savior is our Rock!, Our Redeemer! And we need to be like our rock, steadfast and imovable! It was a great time, and it strengthened my testimony!

This was the day of our hike and Dani loved the hike! She got to ride on the rhino and we all hiked along side her:) It was fun to have her there. This is all our girls except for two and I dont have pictures of them because they ended up coming the last night!! Which was a surprise!! We loved having them come too!! They added to our group!!!!
Out in the good ole canoe!! We all got pretty crazy on the water! We thought we were going to get tipped over-but thank goodness we didnt!
There is a story behind this picture! Its only one of about 25-30!! Stephanie and Kali stole my camera and took a ton of pictures of their faces-and to my surprise every face was completely different!! What some goofy girls!! I want all the young women to know how much I love each one of them!! They are amazing! Im so thankful that I got to know each of them better at girls camp!! It was awesome!! And they all made me have a blast!

Ute Stampede!!

These pictures are from the Ute Stampede Rodeo that we went to a couple weeks ago! Im a terrible blogger lately. I think we all feel the same though-Summer is BUSY!! It seems like we are all running around doing something. Anyways, this picture (above) is Kade and I at the Rodeo!! We had a blast as we do every year!!!!
This horse did not seem to want to be a part of the show! We usually sit so that we can see behind the bucking shuets, and this horse just rared up and tryed his escape plan! Eventually that guy got him back in!
The suset was amazing!! And my camera did a pretty good job capturing how beautiful it was.

We Made The News!!!

Our 4th of July was one of the best ever for me!! As some of you know, I think I like the 4th of July better than Christmas!! Its just one of my favorite times of year because everyone is together and we are always doing something outdoors. And also I love to honor the vetrans, and watch the fireworks as we are all wrapped up in our blankets!! We truly live in the land of the free!! What a blessing!!! As you saw above, Our family MADE THE NEWS!! Pretty cool. If you go to http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=3687731you can watch the news clip of us. The reason why we were on the news is because my grandpa Cook had his 100th great-grand child 6 weeks ago! He has 8 children, 41 grandchildren, and 100 great-grandchildren!!! So my cousin called KSL and they wanted to come down cause they liked our story! All of the great-grandkids are wearing T-shirts with thier name and their number (in the order that they were born) on them. Then they were put on a float that the family made for them to ride on. It was crazy to see all those kids with numbers on them clear to 100!! What an awesome experience that we will never forget! Im so greatful for my family and for the great leagacy that my grandparents have left for us!! They are a people who know the meaning of hard work!! And Im sure glad they passed those qualities on to their kids!! Im greatful to be a part of the Cook family!! We would like to express our love and apprieciation to Grandpa Cook for all that he has done and for his service in World War 2. He is a wonderful man and we love him so much!!!!! We would also like to recognize my father for his service in Vietnam as well!! (Above pictured is Kade and I, Grandpa Cook, My mom and dad) This is my dad and my brother(Josh) in Josh's car. Josh took his car through the parade for his business-autobody.

So this picture is long overdue!! I should've posted it last week-Im a slacker!!! Anyways, our good friends Jordan and Meagan were in town for a few days for her doctor's appointment!!! We loved seeing them and miss them so much!!! They are a blast! We went to Cafe Rio and had some yummy food for lunch and then hung out for awhile. It was good to see them. We went boating yesterday and had a blast!!! If Kade could boat everyday, HE WOULD!!! I cant tell you how much he loves to boat!! Stacia(Sams soon to be wife) has a boat and was so nice to invite us to go. Thanks Stacia!! We had an awesome day..............and we got very fried!!!!
